印度一名24歲的人妻西索迪亞（Rachna Sisodia），因肺部感染被醫生宣告死亡，丈夫喬杜里將「遺體」領回幾小時後就進行火葬，沒想到她根本沒死，一群人手忙腳亂將她拉出仍來不及挽回一命。西索迪亞的叔叔事後指控，她是遭10名親戚性侵殺害。

根據《印度時報》報導，24歲的西索迪亞與23歲的喬杜里（Devesh Chaudhary）新婚不久，2月23日她因肺部感染住院，短短2天就被醫生宣告死亡，並在凌晨通知家屬前往領回遺體。

喬杜里將西索迪亞的遺體領回家，並在數小時內快速進行火葬，然而，過程中有人發現西索迪亞似乎還活著，於是又慌忙將人拉出。不過，西索迪亞被救出時全身已經有70%灼傷，經急救仍宣告不治，驗屍報告也指出在呼吸道發現燃燒灰燼，證明她是被活活燒死的。

西索迪亞的叔叔辛格（Kailash Singh）強調，她是被喬杜里及10名親戚性侵，對方為了滅證才會急著將人處理掉。不過，有印度其他媒體報導稱，喬杜里反控是西索迪亞的家人貪圖他的財產，才會這樣陷害他。目前當地警方已針對此事展開調查，但被指稱涉嫌性侵的多名當事人至今都下落不明。
